Wild and Scenic Film Festival

Patagonia’s Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival
Thursday, October 8th at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, KS.
Friends of the Kaw will host the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival at 7:00pm.
The film festival sits apart from the hundreds of festivals around the world by leaving you feeling INSPIRED and MOTIVATED to go out and make a difference in your community and the world.
At the festival, you’ll LEARN new ideas from a selection of inspiring environmental films with hard hitting topics including bioengineering, water issues, wilderness preservation, citizen activism, and more. You’ll EXPERIENCE the adrenalin of kayaking the wildest rivers, climbing the highest peaks, and trekking across the globe with adventure films from around the world. You’ll EXPLORE the issues and movements with leading environmental activists and professionals, filmmakers, and celebrities.
The film festival will start at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:30) on Thursday, October 8th.
Liberty Hall is at 646 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, KS 66044. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door and each person attending will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for great door prizes. All proceeds will benefit Friends of the Kaw, sponsor of the Kansas Riverkeeper, and attendees will additionally learn more about our mission and not for profit organization. Seating is on a first come - first serve basis and doors open at 6:30pm.
Film Festival attendees will have the opportunity to visit and informally discuss the films next door in the Beer Hall of the Free State Brewery at 9:30pm, immediately after the film festival.
It's not to late to be a sponsor of the event - corporate, not for profit and educational sponsorships available. See Sponsorship Benefits.
Volunteers are also needed to help collect tickets, and usher at this event.
